💼 Business
A few years ago I came across the ultra-competitive and Mafia-esque world of selling mattresses (this article explains a lot). Since then I've been nothing short of obsessed with the amount of effort these companies put into flogging you a new set of springs. So, as a follow up, here’s a piece about Casper's impressive, data-driven content strategy. Link.
✏️ Design
A really neat product design breakdown from Ted Goas. Whether you create products or work with people that do, it’s worth a quick skim just to check out another designers process. Link.
🖥️ Technology
This week in ‘complicated stuff the dev team was sharing in Slack that I'm going to attempt to explain’ - Svelte. Potentially the "new kid on the block" of frameworks, Svelte wants to help you make cybernetically enhanced web apps. The guy who made it is now employed by Vercel, the guys who made Next.js. Our team think it will be quite big (if it's not locked into Vercel’s infra…). Link.
🕹️ Cool stuff
I’ve posted stuff like this before, mainly because they’re weird and funny, but this AI is actually quite impressive. Making realistic images and art from a text description. Link.
Is keeping up with one autocrat not enough for you right now? Don’t worry, someone has made a podcast all about dictators, their rise to power, and their legacies. Link.
Enjoy the rest of your week!
