💼 Business
Grocery app Gorillas - aka the frontrunner to be the ‘WeWork-of-2022’ - is in trouble. In a classic tale of a startup growing too fast and receiving bloated valuations before even turning a profit, their workers are unionising and the company are trying to find any way to block it they can. Link.
✏️ Design
This week we’ve been mostly thinking about logos and this rundown of the trends in logos for 2022 has been really helpful. Link.
Have you ever wondered what your mum’s aesthetic was back in the 1970’s? Well lucky for you the Consumer Aesthetic Research Institute exists. Their community collects and shares visuals of all the trends and fads throughout the years. Link.
🖥️ Technology
Last month, Github launched a preview of their new code search. Like to be prepared? Scroll down in this article to see the complete list of supported syntax so you can get ready. Link.
🕹️ Cool stuff
Only one cool stuff this week because it took me a couple of reads to wrap my head around it. In this article, Philip Ball challenges whether biology is driven by evolution. Instead, he argues that natural selection is guided by thermodynamics. Originally from Quanta Magazine, which, if I haven’t told you already, you should definitely subscribe to. Link.
Enjoy the rest of your week!
